TV APPEARANCES WITH MICHELLE BRANCH

  • Nov. 3 - MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Kenny will perform with Michelle Branch at the Monday Night at the Mic halftime show on Monday Night Football (ABC-TV).  The game will be Miami vs. San Diego.  Bryan Scott, a rookie corner back from Penn State who now plays for the Atlanta Falcons will join Michelle, Kenny and the band.
  • Nov. 23 - MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER CUP: Kenny performs with Michelle Branch on the Major League Soccer Cup 2003 halftime show to be broadcast on ABC-TV at 3:30 PM EST.

 

OCTOBER 2003

AUGUST 2003

MICHELLE BRANCH ON AOL
Michelle Branch will perform a concert Wednesday for broadcast exclusively to AOL Broadband subscribers. The invitation-only show at New York's intimate Bowery Ballroom will begin at 9 p.m. ET on August 27. The BroadBAND Rocks! concert will be available to AOL users on demand for 7 days.

MICHELLE BRANCH VIDEO
Kenny was in LA this month filming a video for Michelle's next single, "Breathe".

LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN
On Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8, Kenny will perform on the Late Show with David Letterman, sitting in for Anton Fig in Paul Schaeffer's band.

MICHELLE BRANCH'S HOTEL PAPER
Michelle Branch's new CD Hotel Paper, featuring Kenny on drums, entered at No. 2 on The Billboard 200. Her latest single, "Are You Happy Now?" is currently a top-20 hit on Billboard's Adult Top 40 Tracks chart.

Tune in to see Kenny perform on "Willie Nelson & Friends: Live and Kickin'" on USA Network on Memorial Day, May 26, at 9 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation to immediately follow. As part of the house band, Kenny plays with Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton, Shania Twain, Sheryl Crow, Kris Kristofferson, Steven Tyler, Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Toby Keith, Norah Jones, Kenny Chesney, Lyle Lovett, Shelby Lynne, Ray Price, Diana Krall, Elvis Costello, and Leon Russell. The show will be repeated on June 1 at 2am EST and again at 9am EST, as well as on June 24 at 11:00pm EST and on July 3 at 12:00am EST.

ACM AWARD FOR "MENDOCINO COUNTY LINE"
The song "Mendocino County Line" by Willie Nelson with Lee Ann Womack, with Kenny on drums, won Vocal Event of The Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards. The program aired Wednesday, May 21 on CBS-TV:

MTV BEACH HOUSE -WITH MICHELLE BRANCH
Kenny performs live with Michelle Branch on Thursday, May 29 when she debuts thevideo for "Are You Happy Now" at the MTV Summer Beach House on MTV's TRL show.

 
APRIL 2003

In LA Kenny performed in the video shoot for Michelle Branch's latest single "Are You Happy Now", to be released in May.

Kenny joined Willie Nelson for a live performance on April 9 in New York City at the Beacon Theatre to celebrate Willie's 70th birthday. The event was taped for a two-hour USA Network TV broadcast and CD titled "Willie Nelson &Friends: Live and Kickin'. See the coming months' news for more details.

MARCH 2003

The Grammy Award winner for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals is "Mendocino County Line" by Willie Nelson with Lee Ann Womack. Featuring Kenny on drums, the track is from the CD The Great Divide by Willie Nelson.

Earlier this month Kenny recorded  in LA with Dido and also with John Gregory.

 

FEBRUARY 2003

The Grammy Award nominations were announced and Kenny plays on these nominated records. The awards will be presented in New York on February 23:

  • Best Country Album:  Willie Nelson - The Great Divide
  • Best Female Country Vocal Performance: Lee Ann Womack - "Something Worth Leaving Behind"
  • Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal: Trick Pony - "Just What I Do"
  • Best Country Collaboration with Vocals: Willie Nelson with Lee Ann Womack - "Mendocino County Line"
  • Best Country Song: Willie Nelson with Lee Ann Womack - "Mendocino County Line"

    Also, Michelle Branch was nominated for Best New Artist. Kenny played on "The Spirit Room" and does live shows with her.

    In February Kenny recorded in LA with Leslie Mills and with Decca Tree.

 
JANUARY 2003

Kenny's recording projects this month include Michelle Branch, in LA, for her upcoming CD. Also in LA, he records the soundtrack for a Bruce Willis movie, Tears of the Sun, due out in March, and with John Gregory for the soundtrack album for the motion picture What A Girl Wants. He also records with Pete Yorn, and with Bernie Williams, centerfielder for the New York Yankees, and with a new artist, Zoe.

The NAMM show is January 15-19. This is a music industry trade show in Anaheim, CA and is not open to the general public. Kenny will be making appearances at these booths:
