BMI POP AWARDS
Kenny performed with John Fogerty as he received the BMI Icon award for lifetime achievement at the 58th annual BMI Pop Awards, May 18 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. The invitation-only event also honored the songwriters and publishers of the past year’s most-performed pop songs in the United States. As a BMI Icon, John Fogerty joins elite ranks that include Kris Kristofferson, the Jacksons, the Bee Gees, Paul Simon, Brian Wilson, Willie Nelson, James Brown, Carlos Santana, Dolly Parton, and Hall & Oates, among others. John and the band performed a medley of his hits including "Travelin' Band," "Green River," "Bad Moon Rising" and "Proud Mary". Guitarist Orianthi joined the band on "Run Through the Jungle".

SWEETWATER SOUND SESSION
Kenny recently visited the headquarters of Sweetwater Sound in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to demonstrate and discuss recording techniques including working with microphones. He was joined by Grammy-winning producer Ross Hogarth, the artist Lukas, and bass player German. In an early morning session, they recorded one of Lukas' songs in the Sweetwater recording studio, with 150 of the company’s sales staff able to experience what was going on in the studio and control room via live audio and video feed. Afterwards, the employees came into the studio in groups for Q&A sessions about microphones, recording, and working in the studio. To read more about the event, click here.

COLTS PRE-SUPER BOWL BASH
Kenny joined Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay on Saturday, February 6 at his pre-Super Bowl concert and party at the Turnberry Isle Resort & Club in Miami.

Irsay invited several hundred of his friends to the event, which featured a performance by "The Super Bowl Jam Band”, including Kenny on drums along with John Mellencamp, Stephen Stills, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills, Mellencamp guitar player Mike Wanchic, and Bob Seger saxophonist Alto Reed. For the final song of the evening, Irsay joined the group, playing guitar and singing on Seger’s "Turn the Page."

The crowd included friends, Indianapolis community leaders and Colts staff. Among the attendees were Mellencamp's wife, model Elaine Irwin, actor Rob Lowe, and former Colts coach Tony Dungy.

The 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Neil Young was held January 29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Kenny performed in the house band backing a star-studded cast of musicians including John Mellencamp, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Stephen Stills, Jackson Browne, Elton John, Leon Russell, T Bone Burnett, Crosby Stills & Nash, Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Lady Antebellum, Ben Harper, Josh Groban and others, all performing songs by Neil Young. 2010 MUSICCARES 20th ANNIVERSARY GALA
Kenny will perform in the house band as part of an all-star lineup at the 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute to Neil Young, on January 29, 2010 in Los Angeles. He’ll play in a rhythm section performing with John Mellencamp, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Stephen Stills, Jackson Browne, Elton John, Leon Russell, T Bone Burnett, Crosby Stills & Nash, Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams, Lady Antebellum, Ben Harper, Josh Groban and others.

The MusiCares Person of the Year tribute is one of the most prestigious events held during Grammy Week. The evening will begin with a special reception and silent auction, followed by a gala dinner sponsored by MasterCard, an award presentation and a star-studded tribute concert. GUITAR CENTER DRUM-OFF FINALS - FRIDAY, JANUARY 8
Kenny will be a judge at Guitar Center's Drum-Off Finals, the world's largest and longest running search to find the nation's top undiscovered drummer. Five finalists will compete in front of a capacity crowd at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on January 8, and one talented drummer will win a prize package worth more than $40,000 and the title of "Guitar Center's Drum-Off Champion."

Beating out more than 4,000 other drummers in several rounds of local and regional competitions over the past several months, the finalists will face the final round of competition judged by a panel of drum celebrities including Kenny along with Peter Erskine (Steely Dan), Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Drew Hester (Foo Fighters / Joe Walsh), Thomas Lang, Jason Sutter (Chris Cornell), John Tempesta (The Cult), Tony Royster Jr. (Jay-Z), Nisan Stewart (Jamie Foxx / 50 Cent) and Ray Luzier (Korn).
